What did you like best during your apprenticeship?
I particularly liked the fact that my superiors encouraged and challenged me with varied and important tasks for the company.
What tasks did you take on after your apprenticeship?
After my training, I initially worked in marketing, where I wrote posts, planned advertising campaigns and helped with the rebranding. After a year, I was able to switch to the position of project manager for interdisciplinary projects. Here, I now accompany projects that affect the whole of PE, from their start-up phase through to project completion, which I find very exciting.
What do you particularly like about PE?
I always liked the team spirit. We all meet as equals and everyone contributes to our success.
What do you take away from your training?
I take a lot of knowledge from all departments with me from my training, as well as many valuable conversations, because what the training has given me is not just a degree, but that I know a company really well and also understand processes in a wide variety of departments. As a project manager, I now always know exactly how which department works and I also know the people well.
Why was the apprenticeship right for you?
For me, an apprenticeship is a foundation stone for the future, which makes all subsequent paths much easier. The variety of tasks has made me realize what I’m really good at and I now know where I want to go. Now I’m studying industrial engineering part-time in the 5th semester and can directly combine theory with practice.
What advice do you give to new / future trainees?
Always stay inquisitive and enjoy the different departments in the company. Every department teaches you something good and you will appreciate it later.
