Spare parts for starter (starters)
Unlike electric motors, combustion engines do not start by themselves. You need a self-starting starter whose electric motor is powered by the battery. The starter turns the engine to the required starting speed.
There are different types of starters for trucks and the like:
- Direct starter: These starters have actuators that are directly connected to the rotor shaft, which enables the motor to be started quickly.
- Starter with reduction gear: These models have an integrated reduction gear that increases the torque.

Detect defects and “PE lift”
The starter has no fixed service life and can fail in the event of defects such as wear of bushings and contact plates in the collector electrode, cable breaks or short circuits in the inner winding. Mechanical damage such as bearing wear, deformation of the teeth of the main gear or destruction of the overrunning clutch are also possible defects that can be caused by natural wear and tear, accidents or improper repairs. Defects in the starter are indicated, for example, by clicking noises when the engine is started or if the starter cannot be switched on or off. Alternator (generator) – the small power station in your truck
In order to supply all consumers with sufficient electrical energy and to recharge the battery, a commercial vehicle needs its own powerful energy source. The function of an alternator (generator) is based on electromagnetic induction, in which a rotating rotor generates a magnetic field and thereby induces a voltage in the stator. The alternating current generated is converted into direct current by a rectifier to supply the battery and on-board electronics. A multifunction controller monitors battery status, detects faults and can control alternator management to optimise performance and improve vehicle reliability.
